Press Release
George Hook to speak at Chamber lunch in aid of Dublin 15 hospice building fund.
Blanchardstown Chamber of Commerce is hosting a special fundraising Business Lunch, sponsored by Yamanouchi, in aid of the Dublin 15 Hospice Building Fund. The lunch will take place on Thursday 21 October 2004 in Luttrellstown Castle Golf & Country Club with guest speaker George Hook, Broadcaster & rugby pundit.
There will be a pre Drinks Reception at 12.30pm followed by a 3-course lunch commencing at 1.00pm. The cost of attending the Lunch is €50 per person or a table of ten will be available for €480.
Since September 2001, St Francis Hospice has been providing the hospice services for the Dublin North West area. However, this has not been ideal and there is a clear and pressing need for a dedicated hospice in this area.
A possible site has now been identified in Dublin 15, which has the capacity to accommodate the new hospice buildings and also has proximity to James Connolly Memorial Hospital. The new Dublin 15 Hospice will include 3 essential hospice services – Home Care, Hospice Day Care and In-Patient Unit. The hospice will be under the management of St Francis Hospice.
According to the Chamber Chief Executive, Annmarie Doherty, “This is a special event in the Chamber calendar and one, which we hope will be widely supported by the business community in Dublin 15.”
